Mission Statement

To act as a focal point and clearinghouse for international topics, experiences and concerns. This TC will foster close working relationships with other ISBT Technical Committees.

Typical Duties

To recognize, discuss and disseminate global based information/data on new technologies, innovations and other international learning to the ISBT membership and technical committees.

Areas of Interest

Innovations and Technology - worldwide focus on 1) innovative products, packaging, equipment and processing technology and 2) technical/scientific developments.

Beverage Operations — worldwide experience and issues addressing production, processing, operations and environmental / regulatory affairs.

Up-Date of Key Issues

Committee members have identified the following key "Global" issues as important to the Society.
  • Environmental and scientific issues - Today's concerns (hot)
  • Committee's focus on needs of "International" members
  • Training - a critical need world-wide
  • Use of supply chain philosophy internationally. Example: is there an interest or need to use a global co-op to buy packaging and ingredients. Since the suppliers are global, why not make the "Bottler" global
  • Beverage quality standards and trademarks world-wide
  • Internationally developed production and processing technology
  • Ingredient and packaging developments
  • Regulatory concerns and compliance issues
