Package Compatibility Practices Evaluation Objectives / Goals: Define tests which apply to the qualification of plastic packaging as it relates to immediate contact with products Define tests which apply to impact on extended shelf life of beverages contained in plastic packaging Find ways and means to confidently accelerate compatibility testing so that new packaging innovations can have reasonable speed to market

PCO 1881 Finish Objectives / Goals: Work is underway on the development of a new, light weight thread finish voluntary specification for plastic single and multi-serve soft drink bottles (250 ml - 2 litre). This is an international undertaking under the auspices of the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT). Participation in the development of the new voluntary standard is open to members of the ISBT (membership is on a personal basis, and is very reasonably priced), with current members representing the beverage companies, bottlers, mold makers, and others along the supply chain, currently throughout North America and Europe. This is an international project, and participation is welcome from all affected parties. View Subcommittee Page.

Sports Closure Test Methods - Hotfill & Aseptic Closure Test Methods Objectives / Goals: To develop safety related industry test procedures. To develop industry standard performance test procedures for sports closures.
